HELLO!
Welcome to my website. The site will continue to develop as the school year progresses, but the basic setup will not change. Most everything you need can be found via the tabs to the left. Each course tab contains the general resources and information necessary to sign up for any course sites/technology and has access to course materials. Specific items, such as a day by day schedule and printable unit pages, can be found in the corresponding unit sub tab. Just click the tab and you'll be taken to that page!
Links will be attached to buttons or appear as orange text and turn to purple text when hovered over. Please note that mobile versions of sites do not always make hyperlinks recognizable (colored), so I do recommend using the desktop version of the site if you are looking for hyperlinks. Due to copyright and other laws, some links may require the student to sign in to their school issued Microsoft Office365 accounts (CVS email).
Aside from that, there's not much to it, but take some time to familiarize yourself with everything that's available!
Thanks for stopping by,
Ms. Heizer

Meet Ms. HeizerI grew up in the area and graduated from Romeo High School. I attended Macomb Community College before transferring to Michigan State University (MSU) where I received my Bachelor's in Mathematics and a minor in Physics. Immediately after finishing my Bachelor's Degree, I took two years off from education to serve a mission for my church in Everett, Washington. I returned home and completed my student teaching at Eisenhower High School, after which, I promptly packed up and left Michigan for an adventure teaching in Lincoln, Nebraska. With a passion for technology in the classroom, I came back to Michigan and pursued my graduate studies through MSU where I had the opportunity to travel, study, and graduate in Galway, Ireland. I now have a Masters of Arts in Educational Technology and have earned the Microsoft Innovative Educator (MIE) certification. In addition to teaching at Dakota High School, I also work in athletics previously as a tennis coach and now as game manager.

Contact Ms. HeizerThe best way to contact me is via email. I make every effort to return correspondence within 2 business days of being in the classroom (i.e. it is extremely probable that communications will have a longer delay in response time when I am absent and over breaks).
